Time: 10:00am – Finish

The Game:
Each 10 min game will have a clear objective for both teams of 4. One team will have to plant a bomb at a designated spot, the other team will have to prevent that from happening or disarm the bomb.

Each team will have 4 members:
2 Riflemen – The Riflemen will be limited to 2 grenades & his hopper or in case of tac-cap, 1 pod that can be reloaded.

1 Heavy – The Heavy is the only player that can reload other team members. He can’t give out pods but he can reload mags & hoppers. The Heavy has no limit on the paint he can carry.

1 Medic – The Medic can revive any 2 players including himself. In order for the Medic to revive a player he must wrap a colored bandage around the “shot” area, then the player is back in. The Medic is limited to 1 grenade & a pump or pistol. In case of Pistol the Medic may carry 1 mag. (The Heavy may carry more mags for the Medic)

Each game will run for 10 min & in case of stalemate, winner will go to whoever has the most players left. In case of tie it will come down to 1 on 1 quick draw.

Please let us know if you plan on buying field paint so we can have enuff for everyone!!!

Saturday night we will be doing an end of the year party, Location TBA. We will be showing some videos and having a few beers for any & all Ballers that can make it.

So come end the year with some of the best teams around Oregon!

Thank you to TekHouse (“BeeTee“) for making a complete idiot of himself on our site,  trying to astroturf this very blogs comment section no-less.  It appears though that we achieved our goal, BT Warrior Forum has been returned to it’s original free status:

All  evidence on their site has been deleted but this blog will remain for future reference.

Over the past year there has been a steady increase  of pressure on BT Warrior members to donate.  For those of you not familiar with “BT Warrior” it’s a forum and BT user community run in association w/BT  or in some type of partnership with BT. This ‘donation fever” has culminated into a series of fits waged by BT Warriors frontman TekHouse.  Yesterday he blocked access to the entire forum with a simpering little message about how donations were needed. This morning TekHouse has decided to block key sections of the forum from members who have not yet donated.  Yes that’s right, they went ahead and blocked peoples access to key parts of their community because they haven’t donated.  I will update this blog periodically w/real time info but for now here’s some interesting screen grabs:

PBnation deleted our thread. Simply amazing the turn around time it took for their mods to act on it, mere hours. Especially considering that the thread didn’t even violate their rules. Be on the look out for a new thread.

It’s mucky, it’s wet and it’s nasty but you know what? That didn’t matter on January 16th, 2011.  We had around 25 players come out in the pouring rain.  It was an absolute ball too, the battles were intense and bitterly fought on a battlefield soaked in slippery mud and falling rain. It was a back and forth mud bath, except it wasn’t with hot chicks,  it was with a group smelly dudes in the forest.  Who could forget the laughs either; guffaws and war stories all around, so  instead of me struggling to write this poorly written blog, let’s hear from some those who attended:

Yesterday was a lot of fun! I didn’t capture any video because it was raining so much but it was great seeing so many people out there having a blast! I can’t wait for the next game! - Frog

Definitley will be back out to the Mtn. I had a great time playing with new friends and playing with old friends too. I really enjoyed playing in the Maze I can not wait to get back out there as soon as the foliage starts to get thick. I also enjoyed the layout of the town. Once I got my footing I was able to get around with out any problems. Murdoc I want to thank you for the invite and to let you know that I will be making it back out to the Mtn. Our first order of business was getting rid of decroded bunker material that was strewn across the field.  Most of the stuff was  pallets we had no use for or composite board that was rotting.  Pappy built a nice fire for it all down field.  During and after this, Mike (a.k.a. Medic) blazed the maze with his heavy duty weed whacker. We then built two new bunkers, a large one in the center of the town and another in the upper left hand corner. Both will be decisive positions on the field.

We plan doing atleast 2-3 more of these work days soon. Ask an OKC member via PM if you would like to join us.

Saturday October 2nd 2010: Venture to The Swamp

What perfect way to start out the month!

Shrek, Fiona, and the Walkons gang have a stellar scenario planned for this coming weekend. Being a complete night owl, this early evening game is right up my ally! Gates open at 3:00pm, with the first scenario starting promptly at 5:00pm.

Games at The Swamp are very fast paced, and nothing can shake the start time – it’s count down, and GO! Not ready? You’ll be out before you’ve got the time to check if your hopper’s on!

After a dinner break, two teams will be formed for a pump and pistol game! I’m excited to play this style at The Swamp. The field is packed with obstacles, but it seems like you are a sitting duck no matter where you are at! Chances are someone’s got an angle on you, which really encourages movement and teamwork.

OKC is heading out Saturday with a small force, and looking forward to balling with our brothers and sisters in arms from across the Northwest.

Shrek and his crew have done some excellent work building up The Swamp. It looks like a lot of great features have been added to this already kick-ass field. Check out some pictures of new additions to the field in the Upcoming Events thread, and get down there this coming Saturday to experience this awesome field!

It will surely start to get dark for the games, so don’t forget your flashlight.

Haters gonna hate

I think it’s reasonable to say that most people play paintball because it’s fun. When people get huffy, paintball just becomes work.  Let it go and get back to having fun.  Laugh about it, talk about it but don’t betch about it.  No one likes to hear a crying baby in the woods.

My gun is bigger than yours

There’s a difference between belching orders  and working together.  Instead of pontificating why not try collaborating.  Lead from the front, move up and see who follows you.

Honor your opponent

If you get hit 3-4 times and none of them break, why not still call yourself out? Your opponent landed that many shots on you. It fosters good layzar will.

Boundaries dude, boundaries…

No, I cannot share this tree with you, it’s not big enough.  Please go find your own before we both end up getting shot.

Safety First!

There’s no reason why a safety briefing needs to last more than 15 minutes.  98% of the people have heard it all before, droning on about it for an hour isn’t going to make anyone safer.

Inside Job

Refs get a lot shit lately. We’re not going to pile it on but we’re also not going to let them off. If you’re refing, be prepared to answer questions about objectives. Establish some sort of communication system allowing you and other game operators to shape a quality game experience.  Anyone can go out on their property and blast each other.  Offer something more to your consumer and really invest in your referee staff.

Get Chron’d

We could simply say don’t hog the chrono but it’s more complicated than that.  Everyone’s been there, feverishly molesting your gun to make the velocity go up or down. After 3 tries of fiddling your marker and you’re still not getting anywhere., than it’s time to step aside and let other players get chron’d.  Holding up the show is not good p8nt etiquette.
